H+H increased its portfolio by managing the Brighton Unitarian during the Brighton Festival, May 2009.
With over 100 performances taking place in 24 days, this venue in the heart of the city was one of the liveliest places in town.
The venue included a café-bar and louge area with piano. The main space has 120 seats, a grand piano, theatre lighting rig and blackout system. These features, combined with its perfect location, made it one of the most versatile and exciting venues in the festival.
To add to our excitement, we were working alongside the Brighton Fringe on a duo of projects, the Performers' Centre and Fringe City.
Fringe City is the jewel in the crown of the festival. Every Saturday, thousands swarm to New Road and the surrounding areas to watch the highlights of the fringe. The best acts playing excerpts from their shows, and street performers wowing the crowds with their skills. Based at the Brighton Unitarian, the team from Harmony in the Community and their Fringe counterparts managed this wonderful event right on our front door!
