The Flanagan Collective’s world premiere of 4-handed boutique musical Some Small Love Story opened at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011 to overwhelming acclaim from both festival-goers and press.
Boldly staged, allowing the music and lyrics to take hold, the show made its name as a delicate and spellbinding piece of theatre. It was nominated for Musical Theatre Matters’ BEST LYRICS award and listed as one of The Stage’s Must-See Productions at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Hartshorn – Hook Productions were given the exclusive rights to develop Some Small Love Story by writer Alexander Wright in late 2011 and plan to take the show on a national UK tour in September 2012. Following a successful industry-only performance on Friday 13th January at the Lowry Theatre in Salford, they have collated feedback from audience members and will continue to work with the creative team on the production.
